Christmas Day

How does one choose their favorite Christmas moments? I would love to hear yours! As a mom, I do believe it is awe-striking to be in the presence of your children. It is amazing to watch them grow up! Can’t leave out our doggies or my favorite person and life partner!❤️🤟

I found myself asking my clients and friends their favorite times over the years. Most people that shared memories, went on to tell me their favorite Christmas memories took place during hard times when they didn’t think they would even be able to celebrate the holidays. Magically, the good Lord provided!

As for my family, it’s the same! I always feel blessed to CeLeBrAtE, whether it’s big or small! We had had a theft that took place at our salon business in 2010 and we were out on our asses overnight! As Christmas approached that year we were unsure if we would be able to buy our kids gifts. We shared that with them and frankly their response was unforgettable! They were fine with it. I think they knew we were lucky to have what we had, considering the circumstances!

That Christmas proved to be the best! Some of our insurance settlement came through just in the nick of time and we were able to get gifts. Honestly, my husband had taken a job at our friends computer repair place and had it set up for each of our kids to get a rebuilt laptop. The expression they had when he surprised them was priceless. We truly made it an abundant and memorable Christmas. I mean.. the good Lord made it happen. I have no doubt it worked out through his higher power!

..So whether you are having an abundant or challenging Christmas. Please believe in better days! I wholeheartedly live by believing the best is yet to come!

Christmas Day is a day to remember~ Jesus is the reason for the season, counting our blessings while realizing it may not always be the way it currently is! Things change in the blink of an eye! We are home with our immediate family and feeling blessed. We know so many have lost loved ones to health challenges, etc. I especially want to send prayers to those that have been affected by the virus/pandemic!

When I started my blogging/writing journey a year ago, while at a cute lil’ bohemian style airbnb in KC (while on our Christmas getaway trip).. I had no idea it would take me on the healing adventure it has! As I sit outside on this absolutely beautiful and sunny afternoon, I realize that I have kept a promise to myself to write consecutively every Thursday for quite some time. It feels good to take time to write, even on Christmas day.. just so happens to be a Thursday this year! It has taken me a bit to get the ball rolling on writing! I have been doing vlogs/YouTube videos for over ninety weeks. Also a huge process to get comfortable and good at! I encourage anyone reading this to get started on whatever your heart is tugging at! You will thank yourself and be proud. Yes, there are challenging parts. Although, I do believe there are more rewards that come from trying.. even if it doesn’t go as planned. It gives us experience!

Work hard to find beauty, joy and happiness even amidst a pandemic! Today, I called on my family members a few times and worked hard at “letting my guard down” a bit. We can get so caught up in the motions of it all that we lose what it’s all about. Don’t worry.. it has happened to me a couple of times today. I have had to regroup and remember to stay calm. No one knows the perfect way you planned to approach each thing on a special occasion. So if it goes different than what you hoped for, decide to make it acceptable! Stress happens and our response is what matters! Embrace the chaos and do your best to love it, for we will miss this someday.. right?! Do whatever you want to be remembered for! MERRY CHRISTMAS!
