“I’ve got sunshine on a cloudy day.. what can make me feel this way?.. MY GIRL!” Today, we celebrate her seventeenth birthday!!❤️🤟

I remember being devastated.. thinking we wouldn’t raise a daughter, when I gave birth to our third son! We let his gender be a surprise! I was extremely sick with preeclampsia during each pregnancy… high risk, bed rest and c-sections!

About a year after having our youngest son.. Aleah came into the the picture and changed our life forever!! Her birth giver was my first cousin. My cousin had fallen on hard times, struggling with drug addiction. My parents took them in when Aleah was just a baby.

It ended up being a long, drawn out process in court. Her adoption was final when she was five years old!

We feel blessed to not only have Aleah in our life, but also two older girls we fostered! We may have not given them the gift of life. Although, life gave us the gift of them!!!

I love the story behind this photo! It had been taken on a disposable camera, at Christmas time at my Mom’s! I had it developed years later and this image was on there!! It would have been about four months before Aleah came to be with us forevermore!✨✨✨💛.. at the time I took the picture… we had no idea! My heart melted when I picked up photos~ to find this gem!! The good Lord had a plan!!
