As I sit in the Fort Lauderdale Airport, in this busy Cuban Restaurant at 8:30ish pm.. the only one we could find a seat. I am thinking of all the adventures we had in Jamaica and all the wonderful people we got to meet!
We are coming home from our youngest son, Isaac’s (aka Ike) Sr. Trip. He chose Jamaica and just like that we’re headed home in a skip!
The memories we made are irreplaceable and we will never forget! Being parents of four grown kids has definitely made me want to live without regrets!
Ike is so tired from travel and celebrating, he couldn’t give me an answer about his favorite part just yet! I know it will be hard to choose.. although, he most definitely won’t say, it’s flying on a jet!
He flew for the first time! What stands out most to me was parasailing in in the sky!
I am thankful for my husband for keeping us organized and letting me talk him into buying professional portraits taken on the the resort, I am including in this post! These four pictures were the ones we chose to print, showing our cherished memories the most!
I must say I can’t believe how fast the five days have flown by and even though some things were different than planned. The additional days I have off when I get home, will allow for me to accomplish my goals and that’s grand!
I thought I would find more time to read my new book, What happened to you? (Oprah Winfrey’s book about trauma, resilience and healing) I also have been planning to carve out some time to write some very important words about trauma that has taken place in my own family. I am hoping to feel courageous and share soon!
I truly believe in spontaneity, taking some risk and living in the moment!! After all, what better way to live than with a wild heart and a free-spirit?!❤️
Life is a delicate dance of both joy and sorrow! We aren’t promised tomorrow!
We must choose carefully how our time is spent.. because all work and no play is no way to live!
Our trip was full of exploring, good food, and some rest and relaxation. I am thankful to be in a financial position to have over a week away from my profession.
Having the gift of my trade as a hairdresser, being able to work hard, earn and be rewarded.. providing the means to live our best life, is something I will never take for granted!
The words that stay with me the most are, “I can do anything I want to do, the world is my oyster.” We should all put ourselves in a position to reach out and embrace the opportunities the world has to offer!!
Remember.. WE ARE HALFWAY TO ANYWHERE WE OUR OUR MINDS TO!!
Stay Rosy, Amber
