Some people make BIG imprints on your life!

Miss Marilyn is one of the most chipper, optimistic, down to earth ladies I know! Pictured here is a snap shot of me wearing the absolutely beautiful scarf she handmade and gifted me at her recent hair appt. .. less than ten days ago! Just so happens to be in shades of green~ my favorite color!

Marilyn is a retired hairdresser of thirty-plus years. She’s from Norton, Ks.. where I was born. I know she’s a rock in her family and community! She always talks about her grand babies and kids!

Earlier this week I learned that her mom passed away. She had told me at her recent hair appointment that her mom wasn’t doing well.

I just feel that a little tribute to Marilyn is the best thing to write about today, as she is going through a challenging time of laying her mom to rest!

Today, her grandsons will come in for haircuts with Johnny. The community of people in their lives are amazing! Coming together to be a support system and make sure everything is just so for their mom/grandmother’s upcoming service.

I write with enthusiasm for this busy day at the salon (our final day before our Christmas break starts)! I know Marilyn would still be doing hair if it were up to her! This profession can take a little toll on our bodies. Nonetheless, when you love what you do.. you do it as long as you possibly can!

Marilyn, please know I am honored to be your hairdresser! I feel a connection to you! You’re an old soul with a young heart! The people in your network are some of my favorite people. Prayers going up for you and yours! Also, I am going to think of how you must have been as you entered a busy day doing hair and try to emulate that!

Stay Rosy, Amber 🎄❤️🤟
