The purpose of our lives is to be happy!

What else would we want to live for? Happiness and contentment are life’s focus!

HAPPINESS IS SOMETHING YOU CHOOSE!

Yesterday, I had a brief conversation with a sweet client while I was cutting her hair and somehow my blog came up. I told her I write about facing adversity. She went on to say that some people think we should love the most mundane of things. It was even said that people who live by the beach want to visit somewhere else. Those that live here in Kansas want to visit the beach. At the time.. I was at a loss for words! There seems to be some truth to people searching for something they think is missing.

While I do agree with building excitement about having the opportunity to experience new things.. I also wholeheartedly believe we should celebrate what is considered even the most mundane of tasks! It is honestly a gift to be able to do what we are capable of, in addition to, what we want to do!!

Today, I had a favorite person of mine sit in my chair who is a home health nurse. She told me of several elderly people who are lonely and struggling to do their normal daily routine! To me, this is a reminder to be glad you can take the trash out, be happy to make dinner, be okay with taking care of your homestead!

We must rest when needed. We must also find our get-up-and-go and make life happen!! We feel better when we are productive!

Focus on a goal and keep pressing forward. Find your passion and don’t give up!

Today I woke before sun up to get fresh bedding on beds and clean, sweep & mop at our guest house for some soldiers that will be arriving tonight! It warms my heart to be a fun, cozy, retreat for those who need it! Even when I have to clean for a good couple of hours to get it all ready!! I pride myself in giving it my all!

This morning my husband said that the young generation are being named the quiet quitters. This breaks my heart! It make me think of the quote, “winners never quite and quitters never win!” It is our duty to lead the young! I am doing my best! First and foremost with our own adult children. Reminding them good things take time and consistency! I would for sure say that the instant gratification, comparison and and false/fake actions of some on social media and in life~ is playing a big role in how people are gauging their choices, actions and success. WE ARE ALL HUMAN!

Comparison is the thief of joy! Remember why you started and keep going! Squeeze the happiness out of your life! Focus on the good and the more good you see!!

Stay Rosy, Amber
