What is Love?

Love is pushing through when you want to give up. Love is trying harder when you think you’ve had enough. Love is a feeling that often feels indescribable. I must say I’ve found love in my husband and family, career as a hairdresser and truly found love in design and life as a work-in-progress. This leads me to a favorite excerpt from a poem that my mom has always adored! I can’t help but to adore it as well!

I Love You Without Knowing How

I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where. I love you straightforwardly, without complexities or pride; so I love you because I know no other way.

-Pablo Neruda- Sonnet 17

This poem truly can speak to what is loved, in addition to, who you love. It’s hard to explain how you feel about what you love!

I have some people in my corner that are going through some stuff. After forty years on earth and going on twenty three years of marriage, I feel confident to give some advice about love and marriage! Mostly, it is on my heart to say~ remember why you married someone, focus on what you still love about them, try to put yourself in their shoes and definitely give it your all! In addition.. work inwardly and bring the best version of yourself! Figure out your love languages and focus on offering love in the way that is best expressed to your partner!

MAKE WHAT AND WHO YOU LOVE A PRIORITY! We all deserve happiness! Seriously, we either grow together or grow apart. All good things take focus and effort! We can’t expect good from something we don’t work hard for!

In the picture I am posting with this entry- I have been going nonstop for the end of year push. I took this photo while running an errand with my husband. This is the start of my work week and I work harder on my days away from the salon😜 I am happy and a little tired. Although, I am more happy! I am learning to love myself the same as I love others! I am often asked how I can do all that I do, it’s simple.. it’s because I love it!! I love helping others, I love hair and interior design and most of all I love my partner in life and friends & family! I also feel that I have been blessed with what time I still have here on earth! I am a survivor of a near-death-experience, being in a car accident as a sixteen year old girl. We are all here for a reason! We are not promised tomorrow, so be and do your best today!

Keep working towards what you love! Give it your all, believing that what’s meant to be WILL!

Stay Rosy, Amber
