Keith Adam, as I sat and had coffee this morning and you were sleeping in the guest room, I couldn’t help but think about the joy you brought when you were born- making us believe we could be good parents! I relate with some things you’ve experienced, also being the firstborn in my family! I can’t believe you are twenty-three! (soon-to-be 24>> on October 12th🙃)

I always dreamt of being a mom, playing with baby dolls while others played with Barbies. Honestly, I don’t believe anyone can understand what it’s like to be a parent until they are one.

As we headed to Manhattan on Monday.. my motherly instinct told me that you needed us! I hope these few days have been a good reset for you. Dinner out with your parents, cooking, time with the doggies and nature, getting spoiled a bit, bowling with friends, etc. I hope it was a dose of just what you needed for a reset!

I promise with the help of the good Lord you will be able to handle any curveballs that come your way.. and you’ll come out stronger on the other side!

I am excited to have all our family back in Salina soon! Remember that Dad and I are always here for you anytime you need us!

I pray that you can let go of any self doubt, distractions, and barriers and know your worth! You are a first generation college graduate. You made it through college during a pandemic and graduated cume laude! We are beyond proud! You are so smart, studious and kind! Your compassion for humankind, your calm demeanor and skill set are bound to land you a job that’s exactly what you’ve been looking for! When you do- never look back! Keep pressing forward every day!

Remember~ when life gets rough.. take a step back, regroup, and know you can accomplish anything you put your mind to!

I am sorry for any of the hard times that have happened in your life.. I hope all the good outweighs the challenges! I know in my heart you are on your journey to find all that you deserve!
