THANKFUL

What is the true meaning of being thankful?

… being conscious of benefits received!

What does it mean to be Thankful? The textbook definition is that “thankful” means being conscious of benefits received. The person receiving the benefits has an awareness of a beneficial gesture…and responds as such. Often, it’s automatic, such as saying “thank you” when someone does something nice or helpful.

I am thankful for small gestures, for the present moments, for hard times that turned into lessons, for unanswered prayers that equaled just what I needed, for answered prayers that have me on the way to where I am headed!! I am thankful for friends and a network of some of the best people in this world!

Nonetheless.. I am conscious of the benefits received by remembering to be thankful!

Living a life of gratitude keeps my heart full and keeps me aware of all the blessings in my life. I am able to stay humble by recognizing where I’ve been and where I am headed.

I honestly know I will always make it with the good Lord in my heart. The Holy Spirit carries me and keeps me on track!

I hope this holiday season leaves you feeling thankful.. that you’ll find yourself living a life of gratitude!

“I am happy because I’m grateful. I choose to be grateful. That gratitude allows me to
be happy.” -WILL ARNETT

Today, on this THANKSGIVING DAY, my heart is full! I am thankful for time with my family! I am especially thankful for our daughter, Aleah’s help with the preparation of our Thanksgiving meal, for delivering food and flowers to some dear friends with me!!

Find it in your heart to be thankful!

Stay rosy, Amber 🤍🤟
