Do I dare say I’ve been struggling with imposter syndrome?! I think it partly has to do with being an empath. Being an empath does comes with a lot of positive traits too. For one, empaths are “highly intuitive and emotionally intelligent,” so they can read the room, pick up on other people’s energy, and be very aware of their own emotions, too. The catch? Taking on everyone’s feelings can be a lot.
Imposter syndrome is the condition of feeling anxious and not experiencing success internally, despite being high-performing in external, objective ways. This condition often results in people feeling like “a fraud” or “a phony” and doubting their abilities.
I have no doubt that gradually I will pull out of this feeling.. as I always do! It just feels weird to say I often am asking myself, “who the f*** am I to think I can do this?”
Thankfully, tomorrow is a new day. Knowing my goals helps me to stay on course! We all have off days. It took me all day to write this blog post.. it’s still Thursday! .. and here it is!
Do your best and forget the rest!
