Do what you can live with!

As my husband, Johnny and I close in on five years of sobriety this November 13th.. I can hardly describe how proud I am! At the time we made this decision I had no idea the influence it would have on our whole clan!

I have learned that drinking is more socially acceptable than not. I also know that not drinking.. has earned us all that we’ve recently got!

The clarity and energy that’s been gained is worth more than I can say! The benefits of liquid courage are outweighed!

It truly has been a generational change! Cycles are hard to break.. although, there has been so much to gain!

I know my immediate family and both our family’s of origin have been greatly impacted. A new way of life has been crafted!

As the oldest sibling in my family I have often given the advice, “do what you can live with!” Now I know what that truly means>> “do what allows you to take a breathe!”

In the last five years I have honestly found myself.. realizing I can still be FuN without a substance to induce it! Remember.. we are all our own pilot!

In my family, mental health and addiction have found themselves hand-in-hand! The best part is how our four adult kids have decided sober life can be grand!

Mocktails are our new way! Life is glorious and I know our health is greatly impacted each day!

Johnny and I and our kids alike.. are embarking on new journeys. I must say it was with the help of God’s mercy!

I encourage anyone thinking about sober life to JUST DO IT! The days turn into years before you know it!

I am the least judgy person I know.. I also want to help others to really glow!

I will always be the girl that finds the best in others! I want to inspire you to live a life that’s less blurred.. get out there and LIVE IN FULL COLOR! ❤️💙💜🖤💛💚🧡🌈

Stay Rosy, Amber 🤍🤟
