Evan Fuchs, RENE (Real Estate Negotiation Expert), absolutely brought the energy in his incredible class! Keith and I quickly realized—we’re already strong negotiators! What stood out most? That good people skills are at the core of negotiating.🏡🏠

We learned the four key steps to becoming an expert negotiator (not just an amateur):

Prepare. Exchange Information. Bargain. Close.

That “bargain” step? That’s the heart of it all.

It also clicked for us how important understanding Desires, Needs, and Abilities is in the process. Everyone brings a different communication style to the table—thinkers, drivers, amiables, expressives.

Let’s break it down:

REALTOR® John Klassen (our fearless team leader) is a total driver—he gets it done.

REALTOR® Keith is a mix of analytical and amiable—steady, thoughtful, calm.

And me? I’m all in the feelings! An amiable expressive through and through. I lead with heart, connection, and a whole lot of love.

What’s cool is that in the center of all these styles is a sweet spot—assertive and responsive—and together, we hit that as a team. That’s why when John, Keith, and I came together as The Klassen Group, I knew we had something special.

We balance each other out.

We’re steady. We get along.

We keep the peace, but we’re not afraid to go after what’s needed.

We recognize people as humans first.

And we always bring heart to the table.

I’m writing this as Keith is driving us back to Wichita for Day 2 of our RENE training, and I’m just feeling so grateful. Excited to dive into more practice negotiations with agents of all types.
