Today is one for the books—we are officially the proud owners of a 2024 Heritage Limited Edition Bronco in Hot Pepper Red… and let me just say, this might be the only thing I ever need in red other than lipstick! 💋🔥🌶️

What’s wild is… this wasn’t even the vehicle I thought I’d fall in love with.
I’ve been perfectly content driving my cute old ’91 Jeep—the one Johnny surprised me with about five years ago. She’s red with white stripes, full of character, and totally me. I’ve always loved that she was different and stood out in all the right ways.

This morning, Johnny shared the backstory with our finance guy—how years ago, after I’d been in a bad car accident, I had planned to use my settlement money to get a Jeep. But that plan shifted fast when we found out we were pregnant around that same time. A family car became the priority, and the dream of something fun got put on hold.

Fast forward twenty years… when Johnny received one of his first real estate commission checks, he surprised me with that sweet little ‘91 Jeep. It was more than a car—it was a gesture of love, timing, and a long-delayed dream. He even tried to upgrade me with a newer black Jeep, but I didn’t go for it—our son ended up buying that one instead. I stuck with my old-school girl… and loved her every mile.

Who would’ve thought a brand new retro-style vehicle would come along that captured that same nostalgic vibe—with all the modern comforts and upgrades?! The moment I saw the 2024 Heritage Bronco, I was intrigued. But the moment I drove her? That’s when the spark hit.

Much to my surprise, it was Johnny who initiated going to look at it again last Saturday after we got off work. He said we needed a little time away from the grind—just to breathe and dream a little. And wow… I’m so glad we did.

We went to test drive her—and to our surprise, they encouraged us to keep her through the weekend! That gave us the chance to really get a good feel for her. We ran errands, cruised a lot, and I even ran her through the car wash and brought her back after a fun couple of days—never really thinking it would turn into anything more than a dreamy little joyride. We also did a ton of research over the weekend—comparing models, reading reviews, and crunching numbers.

We didn’t think we’d be able to get to the terms Johnny would be comfortable with—and I’ll admit, I was pretty persistent about wanting that leather upgrade. But with his steady perspective and commitment to making sure it worked for our budget, and a whole lot of teamwork, we found the sweet spot.

I really appreciate Johnny’s persistence and the way he always keeps our long-term goals in mind. He’s the dreamer and the realist—both.

In just a couple of weeks, she’ll head back in for a camel-colored leather install—just in time for summer cruising with the windows down, top off, hat on, and music up. ☀️🎶

And can we talk about those retro white stripes and bold white rims?! They make her such an absolute head-turner. This beauty isn’t just a ride—it’s a full-on vibe.

I haven’t had a car payment in five years, so this is new territory—but one I’m stepping into with gratitude. We’ve worked hard. We’ve stayed humble. And this win feels so sweet.

Pulling up to our nephew’s graduation and celebrating Mother’s Day this weekend is going to feel extra rewarding. As high school sweethearts turned teen parents, raising four kids and now finding ourselves as empty nesters—owning a dream vehicle like this is such a full-circle blessing. It’s a reflection of Johnny’s due diligence building our credit, and all the years of sacrifice, persistence, and faith that are bearing fruit.

Only 7,000 of this edition were made. She’s rare, retro, and 100% me—classic, bold, and built for a good time.

Dream big, friends. Work hard. And never underestimate the power of persistence, prayer, and a little Hot Pepper Red.
