This Wednesday, we both shuffled things around after I reached out to see what her birthday plans were… and I’m so happy a sister day was what she wanted too! 💕

I started the morning by having the coolest flower arrangement made at Pettle’s Flowers in Salina—Mendy and her work colleague Donald absolutely knocked it out of the park. 🌸 It makes my heart happy to support my friends in what they are up to. Then I hit the road to Wichita to meet up with Nikki and kick off her birthday adventures.

First stop together was Toastique, a new spot she wanted to try—and wow… atmosphere, food, aesthetics… all on point. 🥑🍓 Next up? A lot of running around—partly for fun, partly to help me shop for a special request to make a gift basket. Nikki is the ultimate shopper and queen of finding the coolest stuff for the best deals. And if something’s almost cool? She’ll scoop it up and make it cooler. 👑

She’s also the mastermind behind the amazing PARDON MY FRENCH booths at three antique locations in Wichita—so yes, go look them up and go buy some cool shit! 🛍

And of course, our last stop was hunting down a kick-ass window she scored on Marketplace for her latest endeavor—to turn a little outbuilding into something beyond fabulous. 🪟 Only Nikki could see that vision and bring it to life.

I’m beyond thankful for Realtor John for picking up some goods from Epic Integrative Wellness in Topeka during his appointment with our dear friend Mandy—she’s keeping us at our best so we have the energy to feel our best and work hard. He even came back and jumped right into working real estate. We had a Klassen Group team call while he was driving back from Topeka and I was headed to Wichita, checking in on how Keith’s showings were going. So cool to have three-way calling to stay in the loop—what did we even do before modern technology? Crazy to think where it will continue to advance!

Somewhere in all of this, I might have had a sugar/energy drink rush that led to an outburst of laughter—laughing till I cried, in fear of peeing my pants 🤣. I also got to see Nikki’s youngest after her first day of junior year… our precious niece, the beautiful Phoenix.

The thing about sisters is… you see all your similarities and all the things you wish you were—at least I do. We are each other’s biggest cheerleaders, and we truly get each other. I mean, I get it when people say “my sister, my best friend.” What the hell would I do without her?
