Lately, Iâve had an epiphany: we accomplish so much in a day, and instead of feeling drained, I feel happy, excited, and energized. Thatâs when you knowâyouâre walking in your calling.
For a while, I struggled with imposter syndrome as a realtor. Iâd compare myself to Johnny and other seasoned realtors in the industry. Johnny has always been gifted with numbers and is business savvy, and I wondered where I fit. But Iâve realized I bring something differentârelationship building, creativity, and heart.
⨠I used to compare myself to Johnny or others in real estate⌠but Iâve realized I bring my own strengths to the table. đŞ We all have different gifts, and the real magic happens when we learn to play on each otherâs strengths. Thatâs when a team truly thrives.
Yesterday was a full twelve-hour day, and instead of feeling weighed down, I ended the day full of gratitude. We started at 8:30am with our marketing team meeting, then I headed to the salon to open up, got my nails filled, made my weekly visit with Bernie, and styled four clients back-to-back. I carved out a quick 45-minute break before diving into four more clients.
I had planned to fuel up the Bronco and run it through the car wash, but when the rain started sprinkling, I traded that task for a little retail therapy (fashionista mode always finds a way đ). After another round of clients, Johnny and I enjoyed a dinner date and then drove to Gypsum to show a property… of course I stopped to see one of my besties, Kris who lives there! By the time we got home at 8:30pm, I felt thankfulânot frazzled.
Even our daughter Aleah asked me recently: How do you and Dad manage such busy schedules? My answer: carefully. But truthfully, it feels natural. Consistency, focus, and passion flow through our days. Of course, there are off momentsâwe all have themâbut we learn, grow, and keep moving forward.
My mom has told me more than once that Johnny and I are at our best when weâre renovating and working in real estate. She often wonders why we didnât make this leap sooner. My answer? Because the Lord always has a path and a planâand weâre right on ours.
So hereâs my encouragement for you: figure out what makes you tick and chase it. Life is short. Tomorrow isnât promised. And I promise, you wonât regret walking toward the thing youâre called to do.
Stay Rosy,
