Some love stories start with grand gestures.
Ours started much earlierâback in 5th grade.
Iâve known Johnny since we were kids. Somewhere between junior high hallways, I developed a quiet crush that followed me into high school. By then, we were officially âusââyoung, hopeful, and unaware of how much life weâd walk through together.
This image captures so much more than smiling faces. It tells the story of two kids who chose each other early, kept choosing each other, and built something meaningful along the way.
High school sweethearts.
Married 25 years.
Business partners.
Proud parents of four.
Andâbecause life keeps expandingâgrateful grandparents to our sweet Cowboy Jack, daughters weâve gained and are honored to love, and devoted dog parents too (even if they didnât make it the illustration Chat GPT created đ).
Love That Showed Up Early
One of the moments that shaped our story happened long before marriage, business, or babies.
In high school, I was in a life-threatening car accident that left me on bed rest for an entire semester. Everything stoppedâexcept Johnny. When he agreed to bring my homework to me, it wasnât just about school. It was love showing up quietly, consistently, and without being asked.
Looking back, that was one of the first times I saw the man he would becomeâthe kind who shows up, stays steady, and carries the weight when life gets hard.
We didnât have it all figured out when we said âI do.â What we did have was commitment, grit, laughter, and a shared belief that life is better when you build it together. Over the years, love has looked like late nights, hard conversations, big dreams, failures, forgiveness, and choosing to growâsometimes uncomfortablyâside by side.
Marriage isnât just about romance.
Itâs about partnership.
And weâve learned that deeply.
From Family to Business Partners
Somewhere along the way, our marriage expanded into a shared mission. Becoming business partners wasn’t always easy, but was intentional. Trust, communication, and mutual respect became the foundationânot just at home, but in our work.
This image nods to the life weâve built: the homes we help others find, the numbers weâve crunched, the paperwork, the late nights/early mornings, the âwhat if we try this?â moments. It represents entrepreneurship fueled by family values.
Our FamilyâStill Growing đ¤
At the heart of it all are the people who make our world feel full.
Our four children will always be our foundationâbut watching our family grow has been one of the sweetest surprises of this season. A precious grandbabyâour Cowboy Jackâwho has completely captured our hearts, daughters weâve gained and are grateful to love as our own, and yes⌠our doggies tooâfaithful, loyal, and forever part of our everyday joy.
Family doesnât always fit neatly into a picture frameâbut it lives deeply in the heart.
A Legacy Still in Motion
This picture isnât the end of the storyâitâs a snapshot of a chapter weâre proud of. It represents resilience, growth, and the beauty of building a life brick by brick.
Twenty-five+ years ago, we were just kids with a crush and a promise.
Today, weâre still choosing each otherâjust wiser, braver, and surrounded by the legacy weâre creating together.
Hereâs to love that lasts.
Partnership that evolves.
Family that keeps growing.
And to the next chapterâstill being written.
Stay Rosy,
Amber đ¤â¨
