🌿 From Teen Parents to Building Legacy

Before you scroll too far, I want you to know why I share what I share here.

Yes, we sell homes.

Yes, we run a family real estate team.

Yes, we love design, renovation, and business growth.

Yes, owners/hairdressers at Thiessen-Elise Salon for the past eighteen years. Two of our adult kids are now in the hair industry too.

But that’s not the whole story.

We were teen parents.

Married one month out of high school — on June 30, 2000.

In the first photo I’m sharing, Johnny and I are standing there as brand-new husband and wife… holding our firstborn in our arms.

We were young.

We were stretched.

We were figuring it out in real time.

By our early twenties, we had three sons — all born by C-section — and we were simply trying to survive.

We needed assistance.

We didn’t have a blueprint for wealth or stability.

We just had grit… and each other.

Later, we adopted our daughter — and she completed our family in the most beautiful way.

We’ve walked through addiction.

We’ve sat in therapy rooms.

We’ve faced financial pressure.

We’ve rebuilt our marriage more than once.

And in 2025, we celebrated 25 years of marriage.

Another photo I’m sharing is me holding our first grandchild at his mom and dad’s wedding — watching our middle son step into his own marriage while we stepped into grandparenthood at the same time.

There’s something sacred about witnessing your child build what you once built from scratch.

And now, our oldest son has just gotten engaged — another beautiful beginning unfolding right before our eyes.

So many big things ahead.

In the final photo, you’ll see our whole growing family — legacy in motion.

And our youngest son and his girl are preparing to welcome our second grandchild. My heart can hardly hold it all.

From struggling teen parents seeking help…

to building over a million in assets in our forties.

To watching our children step into marriage, parenthood, and purpose.

Not because it was easy.

But because we chose growth when it would’ve been easier to stay stuck.

And I’ll be honest — even recently, I’ve had moments where I’ve questioned a lot.

Questioned the pace.

Questioned the pressure.

Questioned whether we’re doing enough.

But then I remind myself where we’ve been…

and where we said we were going.

We’ve never been afraid of hard things.

You get up.

You brush yourself off.

You adjust.

You move forward.

That’s what building looks like.

I share because if even one family sees our story and thinks,

“Maybe we can build something better too…”

Then it’s worth it.

This space isn’t about perfection.

It’s about progress.

It’s about breaking generational cycles.

It’s about building legacy on purpose.

And when you choose The Klassen Group, you’re not just choosing a real estate team.

You’re choosing a family that believes in growth.

In rebuilding.

In long-term vision.

In doing hard things well.

In helping other families build the kind of stability we once prayed for.

Not perfect.

Just committed.

Stay rosy,

Amber 🤍🤟
