Today?

A full-on Pisces kind of day.

Slept in till 7:30 (which RARELY happens 😅) and instantly went into go-mode to make it to our Salina Homes meeting by 9am. I already knew it was going to be a busy day… but wow, the energy had plans of its own.

➡️ 11am buyer consult — went great 🙌

➡️ Hair clients — steady and good

➡️ State board inspector shows up at the salon 😳

…only to realize our license expired Feb 28th 🫠

We somehow never received our renewal notice in the mail like we normally do…

➡️ Quick online payment = crisis averted ✔️

Then I thought I was headed for a little self-care moment 💅…

Nope.

Pulled into the mall and got the call from Johnny — a client accidentally didn’t get rescheduled and was sitting there waiting. Soooo… back across town I go 💨

Handled it. Made it happen. Because that’s what we do.

Somewhere in the middle of it all:

squeezed in a FaceTime with my mama 🤍 ate a kids meal like a champ just to keep going 😂 waited (patiently-ish 😅) while my nail girl ran behind

Finally made it home for a quick reset… then off to another listing appointment while visiting with Johnny.

And that’s when life slowed me down for a second.

A message came through from Bernie’s nurse — he’s being moved to KC in the morning. He just found out today.

Cue the tears on the way… because some things just matter more than the schedule.

But we kept going.

Finished our meeting, made a plan:

➡️ 5am alarm

➡️ See Zac and his girlfriend Piper off ✈️

➡️ Grab Bernie some slip-on shoes

➡️ Hopefully give him a haircut before his trip

➡️ Then straight into TWO closings + a full salon day

Because… why not stack it all in one week, right? 😅

Then plot twist of the night —

Our nephew Zac is on his way (a day early!) with his girlfriend Piper ✈️

And here’s where real life kicks in… there was a little miscommunication since Aleah was originally the one texting back and forth with them, so we thought they were coming Friday.

Cue the shuffle 😅

Aleah jumped into action getting the guesthouse ready… because around here, we just figure it out together.

And now… laying in bed… realizing I never even got my blog post up 🙃

BUT here’s the thing—

Today felt busy.

A little emotional.

A little chaotic.

A little “you can’t make this stuff up.”

And still…

✨ I showed up

✨ I stayed calm (for the most part 😉)

✨ I took care of people

✨ I handled business

✨ I felt the feelings AND kept going

That’s a win.

Maybe that’s the Pisces lesson for today—

Not perfection… just presence.

Some days aren’t meant to be picture perfect…

They’re meant to prove to you just how much you can hold, handle, and still lead with heart.
