Building Credibility

What does building credibility look like? Well, for me it has looked like years of practice! Today it looks like writing five pages of my thoughts.. in preparation for a short video clip ..to start creating new content for my YouTube channel, I started a few years ago.๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜œ

I recently took a year sabbatical to collect myself and regroup! I have a new reintroduction video clip that I’ve put out into the world and now I gotta keep pressing forward.

Of course, I have googled what it means to build credibility. I also have walked down my memory lane for the past year. I’ve watched some of the clips I have up from the two consecutive years of uploading videos to YouTube ..to create habits and get better in front of the camera. I am working to share my strengths, that have become Tools of Life .. my intent is to inspire others!

Credibility is the quality to be trusted and believed in. Integrity (strong moral principles) is more than honesty, Intent is a Delicate Balancing Act, Are You Capable?, and Results are Valued More than Effort … are listed as the Four Must-Do’s of Building Credibility in one of Connie Wedel’s articles. She plays a big role in assisting professional women to take the next step in their careers!

I think back to a few years ago when I first started this journey. I have come a long way and yet have so far to go. I feel relieved that I didn’t give up! I am all about shifting gears when necessary! I am also about giving it your all!! Most of all- I AM HUMAN!!

I remember my husband, John and I being in talk therapy/marriage counseling and I was not feeling supported by him. He told me that he thought maybe I would talk about our problems on social media and that made him very uncomfortable. I had to make sure he understood that I wasn’t going to put things out into the world in the heat of the moment.

Yes, my goal is to share struggle in the most uplifting way possible! It is a delicate process! I have to find the most positive way to say hard things. For me, it usually isn’t in the moment. It’s usually after lots of reflecting, healing, and learning that I feel confident to share!

So as I continue my journey~ I will squeeze and share all the good in the present. I was taught by one of my biggest mentors, my Granny Corz.. that if I don’t have anything nice to say- I shouldn’t say anything at all! I still live by that rule. I guess that is exactly why I don’t choose to “air out my dirty laundry” in the moment. I am sure I will continue to get better at sharing sooner after things take place, as I continue improve my approach! We are all here to live a good life! We all make our mark in this world in our own way!

Choosing happiness, loving little things, acts of kindness and gratitude are just a few of the rules I live by. We all should. This isn’t some big scientific breakthrough.. it is real though! I am living proof that good comes from hard. There are lots of people in this world that share their similar approaches. I am here to share my small-town Kansas girl story!๐Ÿ˜‰ Yes, we can be cool and from Kansas!!

I am a survivor of a life-threatening car accident at sixteen years old, I have lived through some trauma, I was born to teen parents and my husband and I were teen parents. I am a highly sensitive person, an empath, I am getting ready to celebrate my twenty-third wedding anniversary, I have four beautiful adult children. I love my doggies, writing, my job as a hairdresser and I am a peacemaker! I could go on. I just want to touch on some of these attributes for anyone this info. is new to!

Stay Rosy, Amber
