Full Days & Grateful Hearts

It’s evening, and I’m just now getting around to my Thursday blog post.
One of the biggest highlights of our week happened last night when Johnny and I officially booked our anniversary trip! One week from today, we’ll be on our way, and I can hardly believe it’s finally real.
I knew just who to call to help make it happen. Johnny found a couple of destinations that caught our attention, and after we shared our thoughts with Mary, she helped us narrow everything down and find exactly what we were wanting and needing. We’re going to keep some of the details a surprise for now, but we’re both incredibly excited.
A huge thank you to Mary Johnson with Travel Awaits in McPherson for helping make it happen. If you’re considering a getaway, honeymoon, anniversary trip, or family vacation, I highly recommend her. She’s been wonderful to work with and made the planning process so much easier.
More than anything, I think this trip is arriving at just the right time. The past several months have been full of growth, opportunities, family milestones, real estate, salon life, and navigating a few unexpected challenges along the way. I’m always willing to work hard, but I also believe in working to live, not living to work. A little time away to recharge, reconnect, and dream about the future feels like exactly what we need. I have a feeling this breather is going to have us refreshed and ready to finish the year strong because growth for The Klassen Group is already well underway, and we’re excited about where things are headed.
Today was one of those good, full days.
The morning started with our weekly Salina Homes meeting, followed by some work for The Klassen Group. Real estate has a way of keeping us on our toes, and I continue to be grateful for the clients who trust us to help guide them through some of life’s biggest decisions.
The rest of the day was spent at the salon. As I worked behind the chair today, I found myself thinking less about where I’ve been and more about where we’re headed. The salon has been such a huge part of my life for many years, but lately I’ve found myself excited by the possibility of spending more time growing our real estate business while cheering on the next generation of beauty professionals. Watching Aleah, Landon, and several of their talented friends build careers in this industry is incredibly rewarding. Truthfully, I’d love to see them all under one roof someday, creating something special together. It’s fun to dream about what the future might hold.
And then came one of the best parts of the day.
Johnny and I headed out for dinner at one of our favorite local spots using a gift card from some very thoughtful real estate clients. Carrie and Steve, if you’re reading this, thank you again for your kindness. Thoughtful gestures like that never go unnoticed and remind us how fortunate we are to work with such wonderful people.
As I reflect on today, I’m reminded that happiness is often found in the simple things: meaningful work, good conversations, dinner with your favorite person, thoughtful clients, family, friends, and having something exciting to look forward to.
My heart feels full tonight.
Stay rosy, friends. 🌹
