Hunter, preparer, or farmer? šŸŒ±šŸ”

Our broker, Todd Welsh, talked about all three at our Salina Homes meeting, and it got me thinking about what each of us brings to real estate.

The ā€œhunterā€ is driven by the chase—finding the next opportunity, pursuing leads, making connections, and moving quickly when the right opportunity comes along.

The ā€œpreparerā€ lays the groundwork—helping clients understand the process, organize the details, and create a plan months or even years before they’re ready to make a move.

The ā€œfarmerā€ understands that meaningful relationships take time to grow. Farmers plant seeds, nurture them, stay consistent, and keep showing up. They don’t expect a harvest the day after planting.

I definitely see some ā€œfarmerā€ in me.

I love big. I love helping people. I love design, seeing the potential in a space, and decluttering until a home can really shine. I’m not scared of hard work, and building relationships and caring for people comes naturally to me. I want to offer value, answer questions, and support people whether they’re ready to make a move today or years from now.

That doesn’t mean there isn’t some ā€œhunterā€ in me, too! When the opportunity comes, I’m ready to work hard, advocate for my clients, solve problems, and help move things forward. The relationships built along the way are what make that work so meaningful to me.

Todd gave me a shout-out for being consistent with my posts, which meant so much. Sharing my life comes naturally, but I have a goal to share more about real estate and how I can help you. Maybe that consistency is part of my farmer mindset—planting seeds through conversations, information, encouragement, and connection.

John is a great example of both a preparer and a hunter. He helps clients think through their goals, understand their options, and make a plan. He knows how important it is to start early, but when the right opportunity appears, he’s ready to act.

And I’m not gonna lie… I have been scared shitless about becoming a REALTORĀ®! There’s a lot to learn, and when you care deeply about doing a good job for people, it feels BIG. But that meeting helped me recognize that the qualities I already bring to the table are part of what makes me a good REALTORĀ®.

And I have the best team beside me. šŸ¤

John has several years of real estate experience ahead of our son Keith and I. He brings preparation, leadership, negotiating skills, and the ability to work through challenges from the first conversation through closing. Keith brings his business background, tech skills, and attention to detail. I bring creativity, staging, marketing, client care, and a whole lot of heart. Together, we are The Klassen Group.

Todd is a great mentor, broker, and owner of Salina Homes. With his guidance and the support around us, choosing where we belonged was a no-brainer!

So here’s me saying it with a little more confidence: I AM A REALTORĀ®, and I would love to help you!

Whether you’re buying, selling, or figuring out where to begin, let’s talk. You don’t have to be ready today. Sometimes the best time to start is months or years before you plan to make a move. šŸ”

Text or call me at 785-201-4340! Tell me your name and a little about your home dreams and wish list. If I don’t answer right away, I’m probably behind the chair, showing a home, or helping someone make theirs shine! Leave me a message, and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. I’d love to hear what ā€œhomeā€ looks like to you! šŸ¤
