REAL ESTATE IS WILD… AND SO IS THIS LIFE 🏡🤍

Yesterday was one of those days that reminded me just how many different hats I wear… and how much can happen in ONE day. 🤪

I started the morning meeting our photographer back at a listing that went LIVE today for a few more photo with a wider lens. Afterward, she and I did something we almost never take time to do — we grabbed tea at Evolve and actually sat down and visited. 🫖 We talked, made some really cool connections, and I walked away thinking how much I love those unexpected little moments in the middle of a busy life.

Then it was off to do a haircut.. next my schedule had opened up cause I had two color clients have to reschedule. Ended up allowing time to go a doctor’s appointment with Johnny. He’s pretty private about medical stuff, so I’ll leave it at that — but sometimes being a wife is simply showing up and being beside your person. 🤍

Next up… a chimney inspection~ also able to go because of my schedule change. I also jumped on the phone with a client who is interested in becoming an Airbnb host AND potentially having us help them find the right property to make it happen. Two worlds I love colliding! 🏡

And somehow… we were only halfway through the day. 🤣

Then back to the salon for FOUR more hair clients. ✂️

Afterwards I rushed home, picked Johnny up, and somehow we managed to squeeze in a nice little dinner date while killing time before our 8 PM showing. Because apparently date night in real estate sometimes comes with a showing afterward. 😂

And then things got WILD.

Our buyer really wanted this property. He had already written his $1,000 earnest-money check and was ready to make a serious offer. After our showing, we learned there was another offer that had to be presented by 9 PM.

So we went to work.

Calls were made. Numbers were discussed. Our client gave us his absolute highest and best — $15,000 OVER asking price.

And… they chose another offer.

Oof. 💔

There were definitely parts of how everything unfolded that were frustrating, especially with the timing. Real estate has a way of reminding you that you can do everything you possibly can, advocate like crazy for your client, present a strong offer … and still not get the house.

That doesn’t mean you stop.

You regroup. You remind your client that the right property is still out there. And you keep going.

Yesterday included real estate, hair, hospitality, marriage, appointments, inspections, negotiations, disappointment, a dinner date and a really good cup of tea. 😂

It was A LOT.

But somewhere in the middle of all that craziness, I realized… this is my life. It’s busy. It’s unpredictable. Sometimes it’s disappointing. But I get to work with people I care about, help people make big moves in their lives, and do it alongside my husband.

And today?

We had a listing going LIVE. 🏡✨

New day. New opportunities. Onward. 🤍

I wish I would have captured more photos with the sweet people I was able to encounter. Moving so fast and sometimes too shy to ask for a pic.. nonetheless I can’t stop thinking about the beautiful blue-eyed, eight month old baby boy I got to hold. I can’t wait for our next grandbabe, Everette to get here!! I am happy to include this photo of time with my dear photographer friend, Shelley!

Stay Rosy, Amber 🤍🤟🌹
