Last Thursday passed without a post,
the words hadn’t found their way.
Sometimes life moves faster
than the things we hope to say.
And sometimes there is room to pause,
to think a little, dream—
to watch the clouds drift overhead
and let the moments simply be.
These cloudy days have been a gift,
the thirsty earth drank deep.
The trees stood still beneath the rain,
the garden woke from sleep.
Our salon caught a few drops, too—
a little more than we had planned.
Perhaps some hail had slipped between
the storms that crossed our land.
Johnny will climb up to the roof
when the next dry day comes through.
There’s something sweet in knowing
we have each other to see things through.
For now, I’m thankful for the rain,
for dreams still taking root,
for ordinary days that hold
more beauty than we knew.
Life can feel so fleeting,
but today, I’ll linger here—
with a grateful heart, a slower breath,
and the people I hold dear.
Stay Rosy,
Amber 🤍🤟
